What the Vine Is I Am
I sharpened my chainsaw and cut up a locust tree. As I
suspected, the branches of the locust tree were locust. I made fire wood
from an oak tree and saw that the branches of the oak tree were oak. In the
same manner I examined a white pine tree and found the branches to be white
pine. Then I knew that if I am a branch of the vine, I am what the vine is.
The vine is the way; therefore, I am the way.
The vine is the truth; therefore, I am the truth.
The vine is light; therefore, I am light.
The vine is life; therefore, I am life.
The vine is love; therefore, I am love.
The vine is righteousness; therefore, I am righteousness.
The vine is the resurrection; therefore, I am the
resurrection.
The vine is Christ; therefore, I am Christ.
"Whoa, now," someone says. "This is blasphemy!"
No, it is spiritual truth. Christ means anointed
one. If the vine is anointed, the branches are anointed. It was Jesus, who
said, "I am the vine; you are the branches." It was also Jesus who said,
"You are the light of the world." Paul tells us we are made the
righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We are the same righteousness
that the vine is if we are in the vine.
Now I know that if I will confess everything Jesus is, I will
be everything that Jesus is because I abide in Jesus. I (my spirit being)
am what the vine is. For all that I am to become evident, I must let my
flesh die and focus my confession on what I am in the vine.
What a powerful body Jesus will have on the earth when we all
get the epignosis (deep-down knowledge) of who we are in our Lord
Jesus Christ!
