Monica,

Your email this morning said you only want a deeper walk with your Daddy.  I don’t know if you ever thought about what I am about to say.  Did you ever notice that the message of the Bible from beginning to end is that God was a little lonely and wanted fellowship; therefore, he created man in his own image?  Now consider that he already had probably billions of angels.  By comparison, that is like having huge herds of horses or many dogs.  I don’t mean to belittle the angels, but as much as you could love your horses, after a few years alone with them you would want to fellowship with your own kind.  The angels are so far below God that he could not be satisfied with there fellowship.  For meaningful fellowship with his own kind, he had to create us in his image

Most people in this world seem to think that people become angels.  No, we are born again the same species as God so that he can enjoy fellowship with us.  When we are born again, we are given Christ’s righteousness in our spirits (our real selves who live in the physical bodies).  God cannot fellowship with impurity; he cannot fellowship with sin; therefore, Jesus was made sin for us and we were made the righteousness of God in him.  We, our spirit beings, are spotless and without sin.  We aren’t as many say, “just old sinners saved by grace.”  Yes, we all were sinners; now we are the righteousness of God by free gift (Romans 5)

It is impossible to please God without faith.  Faith doesn’t look on the outward.  Don’t look on your weakness or acts of sin that your flesh may fall into.  By faith, keep confessing you have a free gift of righteousness; keep your eyes off sin (even your own) [though you do repent of your own sin, but don’t dwell on it.]; look to Jesus; and fellowship with God.  If we had to manifest total spotless righteousness outwardly before we could fellowship with God, none of us would be able to fellowship with him.   When by faith we believe we have righteousness and with our mouths we confess it, our outward beings will become righteous--from the spirit first out to the body.

The devil can only work from the outward that we see to try to corrupt our souls.  God works from our spirits to by our faith and confession save our souls and bodies.  “May you prosper and be in good health as your soul prospers.”

This truth that the devil works from the outside in and God works from the inside out is why Jesus could say in Matthew 15, “Hear and understand:  Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”

As I mentioned in my last letter, I am bubbling over with new insight into truth I had seen dimly back in the 1970’s.  I guess I better shut up and let you digest this.  I know it is not the approach to self improvement that most pastors you have heard are teaching.  They are still emphasizing the outward to inward approach.

Love,

Dad
