In Fear? Deal with It. If you find yourself experiencing fear, you need to know, first of all, that it does not come from God. He has not given us a spirit of fear. Fear is a spirit and it is evil. Fear is the opposite of faith. Fear cannot exist in the presence of faith anymore than cold can exist in the presence of heat. Faith dispels fear. The word of God is awesome! I can guarantee you freedom from fear if you will read the following verses of God's word aloud at least once a day until the spirit of fear is gone. If you are going through a serious battle with fear, then read the following aloud several times a day. This is a collection of verses blended together as one confession. The verses are Psalm 91:2; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Deuteronomy 20:3-4; Isaiah 41:9b-14; Hebrews 8:15; 2 Timothy 1:7; Philippians 1:27-28; and 1 Peter 3:14-15. I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. "All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, 'Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, for I myself will help you,'" declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. So I will not be fainthearted; I will not be afraid; I will not be terrified; I will not give way to panic. For the LORD my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust goes with me to fight for me against my enemies to give me the victory. And he has not given me a spirit of fear. He has given me a spirit of power; he has given me as spirit of love; he has given me a spirit of a sound mind. Therefore, I will conduct myself in a manor worthy of the gospel of Christ without being frightened by those who oppose me. I will not fear what they fear; I will not be terrified. For I have set apart in my heart Christ as Lord. I have not received a spirit that makes me a slave again to fear. No, I have received the spirit of sonship. I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
