February 28, 2001 Monica, I don’t know of anyone who teaches on tithing without hammering from Malachi--"You are robbing God." Their disciples do prove God faithful when they tithe under that teaching, but still they lose something because the teaching is framed in Old Covenant legalism. Father wants to simply flow. Even the use of the word rob could be okay if used in the right context. Without getting into legalism, we can say that in everything that doesn’t keep right on flowing through us we are robbing God. But under the New Covenant we are not legally thieves because we are not under a legal law to tithe. We are supposed to be flowing in everything, however. And for us, it is supposed to be 100% flowing, not a ten percent flow. Have you ever noticed that the ways of God are mostly the exact opposite of the ways of the world? I believe that even our praise and worship is part of the flow. Father doesn’t need his ego built up by our praise. No, if he is going to flow his nature down to us, we need to flow it to each other and back up to him. Our praise with its mention of all God’s qualities is a way to let his own nature flow back to its source so more of his nature can flow to us. We also let his nature flow by being Christlike in our communications with all other beings. When all this is understood in this flow concept, we are truly free from the law, yet we are the ones who are more than fulfilling the requirements of the law. In the Mosaic law, Father wasn’t trying to load the people down with his requirements; though they wanted to have everything written down so they could just do it, he wanted to free them to receive more of him. His requirements were minimal--tiny. Ten percent? No, give all that you have and are. One day of rest? No rest every minute of everyday in the real Sabbath instead of just a picture of the Sabbath that is in the law. When all of him that is in you flows out of you, even more of him can flow into you. That is everything--fruit, works, money--everything. I pray for revelation of any tiny area of my being where I am still restricting the flow. I want to flow, flow, FLOW! Love, Dad
