(1) You can't hide it in the ground;

You can't pile it in a mound;

You can't sniff it like a hound on a trail.

You can't hear it make a sound;

You can't see it turn around;

You can't send it back to town in the mail.

You can't fix it with a spare;

You can't rub it like a bear rubs a tree.

You can't put it in the air;

You can't push it down the stairs;

You can't pull it like the hairs on your knee.
