A Song About Life
Chorus: Let's sing about the enemy falling, the sea rolling back, And the walls came tumbling down, Wells in the valley, roses in the desert, And victory all around, About a baby being born to give me life, Angels singing in the night; Stop singing about crying, sadness, and dying; Let's sing a song about life.
(1) Sing about a woman who spent all she had And still was sent home to die. She said, "I'm not finished as long as there's hope; I'll find Jesus and give him a try. If I can just touch the hem of his garment, It will end this sickness and strife." When she touched him, he said, "Be of good cheer." Now she sings a song about life.
(2) How about the man who lay by the pool? He'd been there thirty-eight years. When the waters were troubled, no one would help, And again his eyes filled with tears. Jesus came by and said, "Rise up and walk." His words cut like a knife; Now he's carrying the bed that used to carry him, And he sings a song about life.
